ABOUT LNAT
What is LNAT?
The Law National Aptitude Test (LNAT) is a critical component of the admissions process for many UK law schools. It is designed to assess a candidate's aptitude for studying law, focusing on skills such as comprehension, interpretation, and argumentation. Here’s a comprehensive guide to understanding and preparing for the LNAT. The test conducted annually by Pearson Virtual University Enterprises (VUE) aims to evaluate your knowledge and interpreting capabilities, as well as your verbal reasoning and analytical skills.
The LNAT is an admissions test that several UK universities use to select students for their undergraduate law programs. It serves as a parameter for comparison between different candidates. Some of the prominent UK universities that require the LNAT include:
-
University of Oxford
-
University College London (UCL)
-
King’s College London
-
University of Glasgow

When to attempt LNAT?

One must book their slots as early as possible to align their schedule with the target’s university deadline. For the best selection of test location and availability and to meet admissions deadlines, you should try to take the exam as early in the academic year as feasible. The exam must be taken during the UCAS year you submit your college application. The cycle usually runs from August to January.
Students sitting for the LNAT exam in the UK or EU have to pay a fee of £75. Students taking the test in another country have to pay £120.
