The Law National Aptitude Test (LNAT) is a standardized admissions test used by UK institutions to assess students applying to law degrees. The examination assesses critical thinking, understanding and reasoning abilities. In this blog we will explain how and when to verify your LNAT results.

When Are LNAT Results Released?
The first set of LNAT results (taken between September 1 and October 20) will be available for download at institutions beginning October 21. Following that date, Pearson VUE will make your LNAT score and essay accessible for download by your preferred institution or universities within 24 hours of completion. They'll notice your score before you do.
However, candidates will not receive their results at the same time as universities. LNAT scores are emailed to test takers twice a year:
Mid-February – for candidates who took the test on or before 26 January.
Mid-August – for candidates who took the test after 26 January.
One should note that no specific dates are provided for the release of the scores.
How Do Universities Use LNAT Scores?
Each university decides in their own ways on how to use LNAT scores in their admissions process. The test results are used alongside other factors like:
Academic qualifications
UCAS or other application forms
Personal statements
Performance at interviews
Some universities may also use the LNAT essay as part of the selection process.
Key Points to Remember:
LNAT scores are not weighted equally across all universities.
The test can only be taken once per application cycle.
If a candidate takes the test twice without authorization, the second sitting will be invalid.
Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) has different LNAT testing windows (1 September to 15 March) with exceptions for the July 2026 intake.
