The Pearson Test of English (PTE) is an academic exam made to test a candidate's English Proficiency who is looking forward to studying in countries that use English as their primary form of communication.
It is considered on the same level as TOEFL and IELTS. However, it is slowly gaining popularity among students because of its scoring pattern and results.
As it's an online test, the results are also declared quickly, primarily within two business days, and you can give it from the comfort of your home.
PTE registration fee is about 14,700 Rupees, inclusive of all taxes. For other countries, it falls under 185 to 275 US dollars.
Countries like the USA, New Zealand, Canada, the UK, Australia, Singapore, and Ireland are some of the many countries that accept PTE.
The exam is conducted throughout the year at designated Pearson test centers. One can select their desired test center easily.
PTE is graded on a 10-90 scale, with 1-point increments. The scores remain valid for two years.
